Unfortunately, yet another phishing scam victim has seen their NFTs stolen, and in this case, it happened to be two MAYCs and eight Cool Cats. It came from the NFT owner clicking a fake link to the recently hyped-up Goblintown NFT collection.
The Details from the Phishing Scam Victim
The victim of this particular scam was a Twitter user, @topshotkief, who had a total of ten of their NFTs stolen. This came after he clicked a fake link to the Goblintown NFT collection. He is an OG Cool Cats holder and had eight of his beloved NFTs from this collection stolen. As well as this, two Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) NFTs.
Now, he is appealing to OpenSea and LooksRare for help as the scammer “stole everything” from them.
